S.A.V.E Environmental Leadership Scholarship
Each year, S.A.V.E. awards two scholarships to high school seniors from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan to assist them with their college/university tuition, books, fees and or any other aspect of their education for their
freshman year. Each scholarship is worth $1,000 this year.
An application Form, 500-word essay, a recommendation letter from an administrator or teacher and a proof of college/university enrollment is required. Anyone may apply regardless of the college/university they are planning to attend. You do not have to be a S.A.V.E. member to apply. The application window runs Feb. 3-April 14, 2025. Winners are to be announced in May and recognized at the S.A.V.E. Awards Night on May 13, 2025.

Qualified S.A.V.E. members will judge the entries.
Deadline:
Complete Application Packets are due at the S.A.V.E. Office by Monday, April 14, 2025. Awardees will be notified in early May.
Student Awards:
- Must be a graduating senior in Northwest Ohio or Southeast Michigan.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in 2025.
- Has an educational plan to major in an environmental studies program, an environmental science program, or any course of study in which the environment and care for the Earth plays an integral part such as art, religion, sociology etc.
Requirements:
- Submit a 500-word essay in #12 font addressing the following question: “What do you see is the greatest environmental concern today and what would you like to do about it?”
- Complete and submit the Application Form for this Scholarship.
- Submit a letter of recommendation by an administrator or faculty member.
- Must provide proof of college/university enrollment before receiving funds.
